About the position

The Assistant Teacher at LifeChange Learning Center is responsible for providing quality care and education to children aged 2-3 years in a nurturing and safe environment. This role involves assisting with daily care, maintaining a clean classroom, and implementing age-appropriate curriculum while fostering spiritual and academic growth in alignment with the center's mission.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the daily care and instruction of children in the 2-3 year old classroom.
• Provide quality care and education to children.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for children.
• Represent the learning center positively to parents and the community.
• Monitor and account for all children during activities and transitions.
• Enforce safety rules and establish an atmosphere of respect and concern.
• Interact consistently with children to promote engagement.
• Assist in cleaning and maintaining the classroom and equipment.
• Implement curriculum planned by the Lead Teacher in an age-appropriate manner.
• Maintain good relationships with parents through communication and updates.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid CPR certification or ability to obtain one within 90 days of employment.
• Ability to supervise children in various weather and playground conditions.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in teaching or childcare (1 year preferred).
• CPR Certification (preferred).
