About the position

As a Seasonal Temp at our Willard, OH location, you will play a crucial role in our production and distribution processes. This position involves following established procedures and working under supervision to perform various job duties related to production, plant services, distribution, and central palletizing. You will be part of a dynamic and collaborative team that is dedicated to delivering high-quality products to our customers. Your contributions will help us maintain our reputation as a trusted brand in the food industry, and you will have the opportunity to make a difference every day. Your primary responsibilities will include palletizing finished cases weighing 20-30 lbs, monitoring case counts, and ensuring the quality of the cases. You will also be responsible for operating tow motors safely at the tote station and maintaining weight and quality information. In addition, you will fill in for call-offs, leaves, vacations, and absences in designated departments, ensuring that production continues smoothly. When scheduled in the Production Department, you will perform various roles such as mixer, scaler/relief, depositor operator, and laminator operator. You may also be scheduled in Plant Services and Distribution as needed, performing the associated job duties. Heavy lifting is a requirement of this position, and you will be expected to follow all safety work rules and complete tasks in a safe manner. You will also assist with rework functions and maintain good housekeeping practices according to 5S standards. This role requires you to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and adhere to quality control standards, safety regulations, and good manufacturing practices. You will be expected to support teamwork and contribute to a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Palletizing finished cases weighing 20-30 lbs and monitoring case counts.
  • Ensuring case quality and performing duties associated with the tote station.
  • Operating tow motors safely and maintaining weight and quality information.
  • Filling in for call-offs, leaves, vacations, and absences in designated departments.
  • Performing job duties in the Production Department as a mixer, scaler/relief, depositor operator, and laminator operator when scheduled.
  • Scheduled in Plant Services and Distribution as needed, performing associated job duties.
  • Becoming a trained back-up in other operator positions.
  • Following safety work rules and completing job tasks in a safe manner.
  • Maintaining good work area housekeeping practices according to 5S standards.
  • Assisting with rework functions and performing other duties as assigned by supervision.

Requirements

  • Must possess a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to communicate with respect to all levels of employees.
