About the position

The packager is responsible for assisting in the operation of the production lines by setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting the packaging area. The role involves packing products in one of three major classifications: Foam, Coatings Mills, or Coatings Reactors. The packager must label products before and after packaging as needed, fill containers to specified weight and quality standards, and ensure proper maintenance and cleaning of all equipment. The starting wage for this position is $22.76, with shift hours from 5am to 3:30pm.

Responsibilities

• Pack products in one of three major classifications: Foam, Coatings Mills, or Coatings Reactors
• Label products before and after packaging as needed
• Setup packaging area for one of three major classifications
• Fill containers to specified weight and expected quality standards
• Properly label wash, leftover bulk, or non-conforming material
• Prepare material by using nitrogen to flush away contaminants in head space
• Prepare container closures by following proper procedures for crimping lids, torqueing bungs and tote caps, and utilizing seals and zip ties
• Maintain and clean all equipment, pumps, and perform tank scraping as required

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs occasionally
• Must be able to pass respirator fit test and medical evaluation
• Must be clean shaven to meet work requirements
