About the position
Kemps Dairy is seeking a Material Handler to perform various duties including unloading materials, transferring and storing products, and operating equipment safely. The role requires adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and effective communication across departments. This position is essential in supporting the dairy production process and ensuring the quality of products delivered to customers.
Responsibilities
- Unload materials and ingredients for warehouse use.
- Transfer and store raw and finished products.
- Operate onsite equipment and machinery safely.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Communicate effectively with all departments.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to perform basic math operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Pass all pre-employment screenings including drug, background, and criminal checks.
- Ability to push, pull, stand, walk, climb, crouch, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work in a wet environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
