About the position

The 190 MBSE Systems Engineer position at StellarPeak Corp. involves supporting independent verification, validation, and testing processes to ensure mission closure. The role focuses on implementing Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices, integrating various engineering processes, and interfacing with customers to enhance system readiness and project planning. The engineer will be responsible for defining specifications, establishing data architecture, and supporting the development of enterprise tools for requirements engineering and system integration.

Responsibilities

  • Support independent verification, validation, and testing processes for mission closure.
  • Oversee readiness processes for enterprise, system, and acquisition-level milestones.
  • Lead and support project planning and assess schedule and risk.
  • Generate and present engineering briefings to stakeholders.
  • Interface with various customers to ensure alignment and support.
  • Implement Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices across projects.
  • Define specifications incorporating software, hardware, and data requirements.
  • Establish an integrated tool framework and data architecture for MBSE.
  • Define data standards and structures for effective data management.
  • Integrate enterprise tools supporting requirements engineering and architecture development.

Requirements

  • BS in engineering, physics, or a related technical degree.
  • In-depth knowledge and practical application of UML and SysML modeling languages.
  • Experience with Rhapsody or other UML-based architecture tools.
  • Knowledge of DoDAF and MoDAF architectural views.
  • Experience with systems engineering processes throughout the system life cycle.
  • Experience in architecture, requirements engineering, and CONOPS development.
  • Experience in MBSE implementation and data architecture integration.
  • Proven communication skills with tools developers and senior government officials.
  • Experience preparing recommendations for IT and data standards.
  • Ability to lead and influence within a team environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with IBM's Rational Tool Suite and Rhapsody.
  • Experience in architecting and recommending Mass Analytics technologies in Big Data and Cloud environments.
  • Certification in SAFe, ITIL, PMI/PMP, or INCOSE.
