About the position

The 1:1 Aide at Green Chimneys is responsible for providing individualized support to students in a residential treatment center. This role focuses on creating a structured environment that meets the specific needs of students, particularly those with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) who require one-on-one assistance to engage in their treatment processes and achieve their goals.

Responsibilities

• Keep the student on task and engaged in program activities such as attending groups and therapies, and completing Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
• Assist unit supervisor and dorm staff in maintaining student engagement and supporting skill-building efforts.
• Attend all relevant meetings regarding the student.
• Write anecdotal, incident, tutoring, and other necessary reports.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Unit Supervisor, Residential Administrator, and Residential Leadership.
• Attend to program aide responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of a High School Diploma is required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience working with impulsive and aggressive students in a structured and nurturing environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a residential treatment setting.
• Training in behavioral management techniques.
